Participating in the IPPNW Practice & Engage (P&E) Exchange Programme in Berlin was both an academic milestone and a deeply personal journey of growth. As a Kenyan medical student, I arrived eager to compare healthcare systems, learn from a new cultural environment, and engage in global health discussions from a perspective outside Africa. Over the course of six weeks, I experienced a blend of clinical immersion, academic learning, self-reflection, and cultural exploration; all of which have shaped my understanding of medicine and global health far beyond the classroom.
